Sometimes you
will want to be far away from what you are filming and sometimes
you will want to be close up.
Here are the different types of shots you might
use
Very far away shot In a very far away shot a whole building
can be seen and people seem very small. You can use this shot
when you need to show WHERE something is happening.
Far away shot In a far away shot a person can be
seen from their head to their feet. You can use this shot when you
need to show a person doing something and the place where they are
doing it.
Medium shot In a medium shot a person's head and
shoulders can be seen. You can use this shot when you need to show
someone speaking.
Close shot In a close shot a person's face can
be seen. You can use this shot when you need to show someone speaking
or how they are feeling about something.
Very close shot In a very close shot small things can
be seen. You can use this shot when you need to show small things
such as writing on a page.
